Preliminaries

This part of the running Chapter 0 (preliminaries) gathers the categorical, algebraic, and homological material that EGA III, and later volumes, will use. It picks up the numbering of Chapter 0 from EGA I at §8, and continues through §13. §11 is reserved in the print; the numbering jumps from §10 directly to §12.
